SENMOMO is a young studio with longer ambitions. This page is the brief honest history of how we got here — and the public dates that lie ahead.
In the kitchen of a Wenchang apartment, with materials bought from a Guangzhou supplier. The first bracelet is rose quartz and freshwater pearl. It still exists; mo wears it. It does not have an archive number; the numbering begins with the first piece intentionally made for someone else.
A friend asks for a bracelet for her mother's birthday. mo makes it, writes a small letter, ships it. Piece #001 enters the archive on June 14, 2024. The friend's mother still wears it. mo keeps a small backup card.
The second-floor room above a small shop in Wenchang. East-facing window, two workbenches, shelves of glass jars for the trays. Daisy joins part-time to handle international shipping logistics. Pieces #018–#025 are made here.
After a year of one-offs, four compositions start being requested repeatedly enough that we name them: Her Tenderness, April Rain, Quiet Strength, First Light. They become the foundation of the public catalog.
Quiet Strength for Ana in Lisbon, the day after her divorce was final. The first piece a wearer specifically writes back to us about. The letter ends up in /letters. mo realizes the brand might be doing more than we thought.
Made for the founder of a small bookshop in Kyoto. A small milestone we celebrate quietly with tea.
Twenty-one stones. After fourteen months of testing dozens of suppliers, we cut the working library to the twenty-one we trust completely. The list hasn't changed since.

The studio opens to international wearers. The first monthly drop on the new moon — Her Tenderness, April Rain, First Light. The Founding 200 list closes; pieces #128–#200 are reserved for waitlist members in order.
Three to five new pieces each, on the new moon. Quiet Spring (March), Resolve (April), For Mother (May), Summer Edge (June), Letters (July), then five more through year-end.
The in-person studio visit program opens — eight visitors per quarter, by appointment, in Wenchang.
One long-form piece per quarter, sustained for as long as we exist. The slow content engine.
The last piece of Chapter One enters the archive. We celebrate. We start Chapter Two with #001 in a new sequence. Chapter One numbers are permanent in our archive — they don't repeat.
We keep the records of every piece, in two places, with redundancy. If SENMOMO outlives mo, the archive is held in writing by the inheritor. If the company is sold, the buyer agrees to maintain the archive. The promise of permanence has a written backstop.
Most of it is just monthly drops, slow content, and pieces shipping. That's on purpose. Nothing on this page is meant to be impressive on its own; it's meant to be visible over time.
